Saxxie & Blake - romantic proposal and engagement photoshoot in Grindelwald, Jugfrau Region, Switzerland
Switzerland has a lot of romantic places to marriage proposal - majestic mountains, picturesque lakes and charming towns and villages.
Initially Blake wanted to propose to Saxxie in Rosenlaui - beautiful green valley with the blue river in the middle, surrounded by massive mountains and glaciers. Amazing place for engagement. Unfortunately dark rainy clouds were hanging above the valley on that day forcing us to last minute change of the engagement location.
No problem for the local photographer in Switzerland. I presented the couple a few another breathtaking locations in Grindelwald area for their proposal. They chose Bachalpsee. To arrive to this scenic Swiss mountain lake, you need to take the gondola from Grindelwald village which takes you to the Grindelwald First - the mountain is called "Top of adventure". You can spend there a whole day enjoying attractions like a long zip line First Flyer, First Glider, Mountain Cart or mountain Scooters called trottibike (check the details here). It is also worth to try the First Cliff Walk by Tissot for amazing views and a little bit of adrenaline.
The hike from Grindelwald First to Bachalpsee is an easy 3 kilometres trail which offers stunning views of the Swiss Alps. It takes about 45 minutes - 1 hour to reach the lake. The trail leads through alpine meadows offering the views of distant mountain peaks and glaciers. Alpine flowers blossoming in spring give this place additional charm. It is definitely a memorable location for marriage proposal in Switzerland.
The proposal of Saxxie and Blake in Swiss Alps were intimate, magical and just perfect. He started with emotional vows which made us all cry. Then he got down on his knee and ask for her hand. She said "yes"!
After all hugs, kisses and happy tears, we continued with the mountains engagement photoshoot.
We finished this beautiful day with the picnic on the Grindelwald First, chatting, laughing and enjoying the scenic views.
